ABA Centers Opens Autism Care Center in Charlestown, MA

Today, ABA Centers of America hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Charlestown, to unveil its fifth autism care center in the state of Massachusetts. This clinic will provide diagnostic and autism care services to the children of the greater Boston communities.

ABA Centers of America provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. The organization was founded to disrupt the autism care industry by demolishing wait times traditionally experienced by those in search of a diagnosis or treatment. It’s common for families to be waitlisted from many months to several years to receive these services for their children, but ABA Centers of America typically has a child in therapy within 47 days from the time initial contact is made with the organization.

“One out every 36 children are now diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We’re at the point that almost everyone in our country has been touched in some way by autism,” remarked Dr. Ted Bender, Chief Operating Officer for ABA Centers. “The demand for treatment in this country is unbelievable, that’s why we’re trying to help as many children as we can, as fast as we can. When we have children in treatment faster and earlier, their outcomes are better.”

This autism care clinic offers an expansive 8,000 square feet for individualized autism therapy services to take place. The strategically designed center provides children with a vibrant, immersive, and engaging environment to receive the therapy lessons that will help them navigate life on the spectrum and teach them the tools to achieve a robust and fulfilling future.

“I have seen more compassion come from the clinicians here at ABA Centers of America than I have seen in the entirety of the rest of my career,” said Lisa Mari, Executive Director for ABA Center of America’s Charlestown clinic. “And I just imagine the impact that compassion will make in the lives of our kiddos through long term, consistent autism care.”

ABA Centers of America’s Charlestown autism care center is located at 465 Medford St., Charlestown, MA. This clinic joins four others in the state of Massachusetts, which are located in Braintree, Peabody, Wellesley, and Worcester. More information about the organization, this new clinic, and the services it offers can be found at www.abacenters.com.
